The time has passed very quicklyg we are glad to have reached our destination but it has been an exciting and pleasant journey. There were quite a number who stepped up into the train twelve years ago on that bright sunny day but out of today s passengers only Betty Ferguson loh Shepherd Vernon Shields Eda Woodbury and Lillian Herod represent that starting trip The coaches we were to occupy had the name of Grade School fore we realized it the train was stopping and some of our new friends got off We saw the conductor helping Burch Winder Robert Slaight and Robert Mc!-lnally into the train The next time the train slowed down everyone crowded to the windows to see who would get on We soon learned their names were Marilyn Talley and Robert Morris We had trouble and it seemed a long time before we reached our fourth stop where we picked up lewell Rudd Philip Kline and Shirley Wilson Stehle We had 1ust gotten started when we had to stop to plck up Marcia Kellogg who was standing by the wayside The conductor encouraged us in our future trades by letting us set up restaurants hospitals drugstores post offices and beauty parlors in our coach Our train was crowded but we managed to squeeze Peggy Thomas and Don Grounds into our midst when we started agam for the fifth time Tune passed quickly and we found Larry Barrett Marion Seick and Nonnan Strausborger had Joined us As our coach was too small we changed Our new coach had the name of Iunior High and during all the confusion and excitement Stan Deal lune Bond and Frank Hoornbeek had gotten on with us At out next stop the only passenger we gained was Ierry Heuston We chose Peggy Thomas and Larry Barrett as head girl and boy Again we had to change coaches This one was called High School and we were happy to pick up Clara Butler Kenny Neish Florine Luvelett Colleen Sweeney Betty lo Timmer Almon Durham and Robert Shipley When we started again for the tenth time Lillian Sheridan Marge Daniels Bill Hoornbeek Marilyn loy Eva Dean Pace Sally Rand Dons Reust Eugene Biskup and lun Thomas stepped up into our coach Edna Gerber 1o1ned our group at our eleventh stop We gave the lunior Prom Winter Wonderland with Iewell Rudd as our Prom Queen We were proud of lohn Shepherd who was elected Editor of Bulldog Tales When we started on the last lap of our Journey we gained Pat Houston, Harold Harris and lack Crowder Larry Barrett received the honor of being President of the Class of 46 Marilyn Talley and Philip Kline proved to be most capable of editing the annual Craig Coloradoan 'M' We attended the Senior Banquet where we left the luniors our Last Will panied by the regal strains of Pomp and Circumstance to the head of the 'T train where we were later presented with our diplomas by the Conductor Now that we have stepped down from our train of knowledge we must decide what to do with our lives Some of us will catch another educa txonal train and others will be content not to travel by train anymore We now leave you the passengers in the Craig High School train with the hope that you will en1oy your school days as much as we have 54 I I I n v I I I .
