flfiatrurrrlart' L Sentara Cussruc WEBER For hes a jolly good fellou llhzclz nobody can deny Qllzuw Qtaturg We have reached the herght of glory that of bemg Seniors How we dreamed of the trme when we would be Seniors when we would occupy the seats near the windows And now now we feel httle drfferent than we always drd Of course we feel much more experrencecl rn the ways of the world much superror to the umors far removed from the Sophomores and out of reach of the Freshres But strange to say we find there are strll heights to which we have not yet attalned Of our earlrer years from the frrst to the eighth grades lrttle need be sald W were perhaps but little above the average However 1n our nlnth year puprls from outlylng dlstrlcts were added to our ranks and the present lllustrlous class was the result For the hlstory of our hlgh school days up to the present year see Haymaker for l926 The Class felt very much honored when Donovan Deal received the medal given by the American Leglon as the best all around student and athlete for I926 As a result of an electron held early ln the year our officers thrs year are Pzeszdent SADIE LOIBL Vzce Pzeszdcnt NELLIE GIBSON Secretary Treasurer GENEVA SHIPTON Sponsor Nllss Lowms Our first party was held at the home of Glen lVhller Durmg the evenrng Mr Hager conducted a sort of rntellrgence test whrch left some of us wondering rf we reallv belonged rn a Senror gatherrng The Clmstmas party held at the school house was also enjoyed Crfts from Santa found their way to the bad boys and girls Three members of our class Nellre Cnbson Dave Halverstadt and Glenn Mrller had leading parts ln the Hugh School Operetta We were certainly proud of them The clebatrng season has just closed The last debate held wrth Curtrs resulted ln Cozad placrng second rn the drstnct Sadre Lorbl Cozads leaclmg debator spoke for the last time We are told she spoke better than ever before The class Journeyed to Lexington May I7 to see the Duchess of Buffalo which was bemg shown at one of the theaters Afterwards we went to a Sweet Shop and had rce cream Altho there were only thrrteen of us there we thought we had a very lucky time The Semor Class Play Wrecking Robert s Budget glven May srxth was enyoyed by all Miss Lomas and Mass Wernrmont were our able drrectors The annual unror Semor Banquet one of the most pleasant events of the season was grven Aprrl twenty elghth We are sorry we cannot always be umors and Seniors Our Commencement exercises wrll be the clrmax of a successful hugh school llfe and but the begmnlng of a fuller richer experrence because of the years thus spent Page Fzfteen I.
