TIGER FF The Tiger Staff was re- sponsible for production of the yearbook. A new addi- tion was made to the year- book this year--colored and tinted pages. Advisor was Mr. Thomas A. Newton. Staff members included Pam Rommel, in charge of ac- tivities section, Sterling Harper, in charge of stu- dent photos, Mike Muir, in charge of faculty, re- placed second semester with Tom Stanley, and Marilyn McGehan, editor and in charge of organiza- tional pictures. The Tiger Staff owes thanks to Rex Beeney, Larry Allred, Mr. Marot- ta, and Mr. Bedwell for taking pictures used in the yearbook. Tiger Tales staff--SEATED: Thomas A. STANDING: Marilyn TIGER TALES STAFF The Tiger Tales Staff in the fall semes- ter of 1970 was headed by Carol McAdoo, stu- dent editor. The staff under Carol's leader- ship attempted to improve the Tiger Tales in layout design, story content, and complete news coverage, Special emphasis was placed on better feature stories, surveys and editorials. Traviata Morris and Tom Stanley were co- editors for the spring semester, Tom Stanley was in charge of the daily Bulletin the first nine weeks and Traviata Morris assumed that duty the second nine weeks. Tom and T raviata with the help of the staff improved the design, and variety of the Tiger Tales,

The Student Education Association at CCCC exists for those students who are interested in education or who would like to become a teacher. It is open to all students. The organization has been active here for 20 years. A soup supper, held as a get-acquainted meeting, kicked off the year with meetings thereafter every second and fourth Monday of each month. In january, Q' M5686 yrgfil? 3 members went to a conference in Fort Worth. And delegates were sent March 19-20 to a state conven- tion at Kansas State Teachers College. As a special project, several members worked with the Day Care Center at the Central Christian Church. Advisors for 1970-1971 were Miss Williams and Mr. DuChateau. HOME ECO OMICS Kansas Home Economics Student Association was organ- ized in the fall of 1969 at CCCC. CCCC. Anyone taking a home economics course or interested in home economics was invited to join. Mrs. Winegarner was the advisor for 1970-1971. On September 9, 1970 a Punch Party was held for the purpose of explaining about the Home Economics Club. New of- ficers Were installed by a can- dle ceremony on October 7. As a Christmas project, members brought toys, Wrapped them and took them to the Day Care Center. The Cowley Coun- ty Community College choir had a total of twenty-seven mem- bers. Anyone inter- ested in singing could join the choir. They met the past year every Monday, Wed- nesday, and Friday at 1:00. On November 25, the choir sang at the Thanksgiving program for the college. They also sang special num- bers for the Christ- mas program held on December 16, 1970. In addition, members sang at the Smith Moon Company Christ- mas party. On the eve evening of February 15, the choir held a Pop Concert which was open to the public. They also sang for the college at the annual Easter assembly. Then in the spring they had a formal concert which was open to the public. As a special acti- vity the choir sang at schools in surrounding communities . CHOIR dial- Choir--PIANIST: Carolyn Davis. OCA EMBLE The vocal ensembles at CCCC are composed of any- one who likes to sing in small groups. Included are a mixed, girls' and boys' ensemble. At the LEFT are members who sang first semester. Jeff Judd, Doug Judd, J.C. Riley, Joe Rush, Rickie Godwin, Anita Esquivel, Marilyn Grubb, Monica Smith, Resa Bowman, Sara Potucek, and Debbie Neitzke joined a vocal ensemble the second semester.
