I Plans Made For New Iuco During january great efforts were made by the townspeople, stu dents, and administration to help pass the bond issue on February 2 for the building of a new junior Col lege north of Arkansas City on Radio Lane and 15th Street. nnual Watermelon Fee Is Held On September 3 the annual watermelon feed was held in the faculty parking lot. The idea for such an occasion arose several years ago when Dr. johnson, former dean of the college, felt that an activity was needed to help new students get acquainted. Over one hundred students and faculty members attended the social event. Unfor- tunately, rain forced everyone to tak shelter in the machine shop. Board members met january 18 to discuss the bond issue. Janis Wood dgnated blogd, C C C C S Nurses aid the students. The Red Cross Blood mobile visited Tri- CIC on 1970.
