In addition to havniqg had command of the USS LCI QL, 329 and the USS LCI QLD 1091, Commander Berry has had duty at sea in carriers, cruisers and destroyers. He has served on the staffs of Commander Cruiser Divi- sion ONE and FIVE, the Commander in Chief, U.S, Pacific Fleet, and in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations. He is a graduate of the U. S, Naval Line School, the U,S, Naval Postgraduate School, and the U.S. Naval War College. Commander Berry assumed com- mand of the USS COWELL in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii July 1963.
