The Future Farmers of America is a voluntary organization com- posed of boys interested in Agriculture and studying Vocational Ag- riculture in High School. The boys are divided into three groups and are studying farm crops, dairy husbandry, poultry husbandry, vegetable gardening, and farm mechanics. Beginning students have the degree of Greenhand . After one year and certain accomplishments they can become Chapter farm ers. This year two of our members, Charley Boom and Carroll Doan, were selected as State Farmers. With half of the Sopho- mores working toward Junior degrees and also several Juniors earning their Chapter degrees. They were represented by Carol Davis who earned her State Homemaker Degree. The Home Ec. girls are divided into 3 or 4 sections a semester, working on rugs, sewing, cooking, canning, and good grooming. As a result several projects were sent to the Farm Show and Mansfield Fair. This year was certainly a successful one for the entire class. F. H. A.
