F?-E? 12A Oflicers Virginia Bell, President Robert Doyle, Vice-President Ruth Snelling, Secretary Werdna Feist, Treasurer 12B Officers Alton Vergote, President Tom Reed, Vice-President Volora Varcoe, Secretary Eleanor Egly, Treasurer Standing: Recd, ligly, Varcoe, Feist, Vergote. Sitting: Snelling, Bull, Doyle. SENICDR CLASS Because of the various activities and strict train- ing rules, few parties were held by the Senior class. Washington's birthday was adopted as a ditch day and both 12A's and l2B's Went to Big Pines for the day. During the latter part of the year a play-day was given for the Seniors. After participating in badminton, tennis, indoor and volleyball, everyone stayed to dance in the gym. In order to earn money for the class donation, a carnival was planned and executed by Fred Nichols. Topping a championship sports year was the Junior-Senior prom and a re- ception after baccalaureate at the O'Neil ranch. The class of '39 was the first to graduate from Covina High School in caps and gowns.
