Sianley Wheai' and Alberf McBride won from Pomona and Corona, bofh by 2-fo-I scores. The negalive feam of Richard Wil- lifs and Dwigl-1+ Huichinson won from Redlands and losl +o San Bernardino. The Senior +eam of Richard Williis and Sfanley Wheal received +he honor of having +heir names engraved on 'lhe perpefual cup by winning 'il-ie inferclass del::a+es which are held every year. French Club During +he pasl' year +he Fleu de Lys was a very acfive club. Meefings, held a+ The homes of diFFeren+ mem- bers of +he club, were very inieresringg 'rhe French language and cusioms be- ing used, and French games played. The organizaiion is qui+e large, as membership exfends 'I'o all s'I'uden'I's who have sludied French, as well as fhose who are s+udying H' af presen'l'. This year for +he annual excursion The club weni' 'lo 'I'he Padua Hills Playhouse. The excursion, needless +o say, was a very in+eres'ring and successful one. The selection was based on moral standing, scholastic effort, and sportsmanship shown on and off the football field. Merrie was certainly deserving. Walt Hege deserves commendation for his football ability. Walt was chosen as All-Southern California end. Captain Ernie Poore received hon- orable mention. B and C Football Oak's B football men were gener- ally without success, although some boys showed flashes of ability.
