Other officers include Carter Christie, vice-president, Phyllis Weber, secretary, Shigemi Kato, treasurer, and Bill Bliss, representative. Outstanding athletes in this class include Aki Fukushima, Jack Ising, Ronald Law, Sam Jang, Fred Uyeno, and Tomio Hamatani. At Thanksgiving the class held a turkey raffle. The winner was Willie Luian. The Junior Prom was presented on May 20. Many thanks to the advisors, Mr. Goodridge, Miss Chew, and Miss James. Right off the bat Kenii Kin- oshita was re-elected president. Also elected were: vice-president, Peter Brown, secretary, Aiko Sofye, treasurer, Helen Hudson, and representative, Margie Burch. The annual initiation of the Freshies planned by the Sophs was held early in the fall on the ball field. The barn dance was held on March 25. A record crowd drank cider from the cow , danced by lantern light, sat on bales of straw, chose the longest beard and departed at mid- night broke from buying rattled cake, but happy and duly farmerized . The advisors, Mrs. Liles, Mrs. Emerson, and Mr. Parker, deserve much credit for the Sophs' successful year.
