It was my old friend, Jimmy Moore. As I watched, Soon no doubt the new look would be to have no ears lt was not long untrl I saw a stately dlgmfled young woman bedecked lrberally wrth dramonds orchrds and beautrful furs walk by the wrndow In her arms she car ned a sprndle delrcate poodle dog that resembled Maggre s ln the paper She was the rrch Mrss Lrnda Jennmgs whose rlch uncle had just dred and left her a huge estate and the poodle dog Next I saw a nchly dressed lady pass by wlth a large stack of sheet musrc rn her hands and her face looked famtllar to me Why lt was Mane Moon At last she must be the famous srnger that she had always practrced so much for Personally I always thought sounded lrke a cat caught rn a revolvrng door but a lot of people seemed to thmk she had talent for musrc were basketball players headed fm the annual tournaments That made me remember Gene Lenox a long ago frrend of mme who had always dreamed of berng the dog catcher rn the town of Cotaco As I watched the bus go out of srght I saw a btg Packard glrde down the street Naturally I stared to see who was dr1v1ng Why ll was the recently elected Governor of Alabama Ted Jennrngs Wxth htm was hrs attractrve wrfe She turned her head rn my drrectron and I saw rt really was a former classmate of mrne Llnda Brown The wlndow curtaru fluttered and settled back rn place The w1nd swrrled up leaves 1n the street and dred away I got up and went to the wrndow The street was deserted There was no srgn of a wrndow washer or a basketball team or a poodle dog Why I must have been dreamrng after all !
