Interesting. That ' s the word 1 elect to describe my experience as an editor-in-chief of the annual this year. But how could anyone have anything but an interesting time in yearbook because, as you may not know, the class is chock-full of challeng- ing duties, duties to challenge, and responsibil- ities to uphold. Since withholding my gratitude would be criminal, my dearest thanks go to Au- gust C. Seeber — with whom I feel I have achieved a splendid balance of leadership in the class and who has become my pal throughout our (for lack of a better word) laborious course together. And Jimney Crickets, there are others! To our copy editors: a hearty thank you for always being there and exerting your fine language skills. To the select, individual editors: good job! You ' ve each done your part well in helping create our finely-tuned mechanism. Most of all, I give a grap- pling handshake to Clint L. Dieball and his photo- graphic staff, who are now free from any responsi- bility since they did their best with what they had. And of course, I am grateful to Mr. VanTreese, for his enlightening sense of humor, and his constant influx of guidance and spirit. You know, when I was a youngster, I alwa ys dreamed of being the high school yearbook editor-in-chief, and now hav- ing reached and wrapped that goal, if I was asked to do it again — I ' d be interested. 224 Well here it is-and not a moment too soon. Let ' s give credit where credit is due. First and most important, my esteemed partner, Andrew Prickett: I sincerely hope you don ' t lose any sleep in the future. Next, a hearty Hi Ho goes to the class editors: your effort sure pays off in the pages of this book. Then to the photographers, who were our Rocks of Gibraltar: your patience and punctu- ality sure shows off in the pictures you did take. To all the staff I haven ' t mentioned: your input and work were just as important and only lack of space will restrain me from mentioning your names. Last and certainly not least, thanks to Mr. David VanTreese: what would Chester and Fester do without you? It ' s been a great two years having you as my advisor. I wish you good health for many years. This yearbook is a reflection of the entire year. It is produced for you-the student body. We as a staff try our best to create a theme and with the students ' assistance we incorporate it. I sincerely hope you enjoy the work of our staff, Andy Prick- ett, and myself. Ul :-,.A- A 4.
