The Underclass section was especially challeng- ng this year. The incorporation of the seventh and eighth grade students into the yearbook went smoothly but required more work for our staff members. In order to get input from the Junior High, we spoke to the representatives from both grades. They helped identify and select candid pictures and kept us informed of activities and events. We appreciate their help and are pleased with the results of our combined efforts. We hope that the following sections not only cater to all involved, but represent each class as the individuals that they are. Underclass-109

This year, with the addition of two more classes the Underclass section truly repre- sents all varieties of individuals. The year started with many mixed feelings among the classes, yet they were able to pull together and endure perhaps one of the most chal- lenging years for Mesa. Adjustments were made by all: however, the impact that was expected never surfaced. The Junior High harmonized just as they do on these pages. In fact the most noticable difference was the crowded hallways and added bells. 1. The Breakfast Club. 2. Lunch at the corner of Brick and Ant Central. 3. Oh. Ray. you sly toad you. 4. I always feel like somebody ' s watching me. 5. The secret befiind Mesa Pride, the class of 1989. 6. Underclass Editors- Sheree King. Thu Tin, Christina Metoyer. Kristy White. Anthony Gilmore, Michelle Johnson. IIDJIBCMSS 108 Underclass J21
