' t si A Typical Day A teacher ' s day starts at about 7:30. when he or she arrives at the doors of school. They rush to the office to pick up the daily roll sheets and a hot cup of coffee. When the tardy bell rings, the teacher has the fun job of taking roll, collecting re- admits, and marking tardies, all at the same time. When all that important stuff is done, they assign work. At least five kids will ask for the pass during the peri- od, and four will get to use it. When the bell rings, everyone is waiting and the teacher is free! Aide Martin Nichols Math Teri-Lee Moskowitz HOH Brent Neumeyer Science Terry Neuntieyer Science Chuck Schubert Chuck Schubert spent his high school days in the 1960 ' s. He participated in band and football. Although he was busy after school, he still found time to surf, drag race and listen to the Beach Boys. Mr. Schubert was thought to be one of the most important teachers at Davis. He not only taught 102 Faculty history and shop, but he also was the advisor for the yearbook, the Old Time Movie Club, the Shop Club, the Photo Club, and as a joke, the Gang Fight Club. When asked how he felt about the Mesa-Davis merg- er, Mr. Schubert said, I didn ' t like it at first, but now it ' s going fine. It ' s nev- er dull around here.

Carole Surmon Library Assistant Dick Surmon Math Gene Swanson Math Bill Wettengel Mr. Wettengel attended high school in the 1950 ' s, playing football and running track. After school he would go cruising in his ' 51 Ford with his steady girl. Bill Wettengel has been a teacher for twenty-six years, twenty-one of which have been at Mesa. To the class of 1988, Mr. Wettengel says, Try not to take life too seriously, laugh a lot and have fun whenever possible. lO-lFaculty
