Aide Martin Nichols Math Teri-Lee Moskowitz HOH Brent Neumeyer Science Terry Neuntieyer Science Chuck Schubert Chuck Schubert spent his high school days in the 1960 ' s. He participated in band and football. Although he was busy after school, he still found time to surf, drag race and listen to the Beach Boys. Mr. Schubert was thought to be one of the most important teachers at Davis. He not only taught 102 Faculty history and shop, but he also was the advisor for the yearbook, the Old Time Movie Club, the Shop Club, the Photo Club, and as a joke, the Gang Fight Club. When asked how he felt about the Mesa-Davis merg- er, Mr. Schubert said, I didn ' t like it at first, but now it ' s going fine. It ' s nev- er dull around here.

During those years. Mesa was an experimental high school. No off campuses were needed, it was kind of like college. The future Dr. N. spent his time out on the field play- ing Beatles songs on his guitar. Mr. N. had many of his co-workers as his teachers. He said the only teacher who gave him trouble was Mr. Surmon, only because he had long hair though. After subbing for a while, he was given a permanent job at his Alma Mater. During his second year here, Mr. N. met Miss McMillian and they married last summer. Brent Neumeyer became a teach- er because he likes working with young people. Jon Lindfors Chorus Cafeteria Crew The ladies in the cafeteria have to pre- pare two meals every weekday. Their menu is planned weeks beforehand, and it has to be balanced. The cafeteria crew also takes care of special things like sen- ior breakfasts, barbeque lunches and fac- ulty meetings. Keep up the good work ladies. FacultylOl

' t si A Typical Day A teacher ' s day starts at about 7:30. when he or she arrives at the doors of school. They rush to the office to pick up the daily roll sheets and a hot cup of coffee. When the tardy bell rings, the teacher has the fun job of taking roll, collecting re- admits, and marking tardies, all at the same time. When all that important stuff is done, they assign work. At least five kids will ask for the pass during the peri- od, and four will get to use it. When the bell rings, everyone is waiting and the teacher is free!
