Volleyball Finishes Good League Year The Varsity Volleyball team completed another suc- cessful year of Volleyball action, with seniors Connie Dietzel and Jill Freeman named as Honorable Mention South Coast league players. Playing with six returning members and five Junior Varsity players from last year's team, the squad finished fifth in the toughest high school league in the nation. The team defeated Dana Hills and El Toro during the season and upset the Tritons of San Clemente in the second round. Other victims included Irvine High School and Westminister. Connie Dietzel led the offense, earning Most Valu- able Player honors, while Jill Freeman was voted cap- tain. Carol Krikorian was named Defensive playerg Jen- nifer Dies, Most Inspirationalg and, Michelle Deyden, Most Improved. Coach Pattisonls comment on the season: The team played much better the second half of the season.
