Curse Gf Deadlines Returns To Haunt Staff Amidst noise, confusion and total chaos, this ycar's yearbook was brought to you by the publications staff. Impossible deadlines, lack of photos, broken equipment and frantic editors added to the complete disorder of the fine arts office, but then yearbook wouldn't be the same without chaos. The staff suffered from the extended absence of advi- sor David Van Treese just after Christmas, and owes much thanks to Ron Wells who held things together at the risk of his own sanity. This year's Roundup was sponsored by selling person- alized yearbooks, advertisements from local merchants and a dance in June. l. Bank Awards Given To Outstanding Seniors With the selection of the plaque and certificate award winners from the Bank of America Achievement Awards, Costa Mesa High School honors sixteen out- standing seniors. Continuing in the program, the school awards stu- dents who have attained high academic achievement, a sense of responsibility and evidence of leadership, promising future success. Chosen this year for the top students in the general fields of Fine Arts, Liberal Arts, Science and Mathe- matics and Vocational Arts are Mike Walsh, Jennifer Dies, David Dawe and Judy Lux. These plaque winners were able to compete in the program for additional awards. Twelve outstanding seniors were selected in specific study fields also.
