Karin Thanks Costa Mesa High And A.F.S. Friends HI! I want to thank everybody for having me here, espe- cially my host family, the A.F.S. student club, and the A.F.S. Adult Club. In this year I have learned a lot about myself and about the difference between California and Holland. I got the opportunity to observe your school system and compare it with ours. Since in our country all the sub- jects are given to you, we may learn more, but we also have much more homework and much less spare time. I never liked school before this year. I liked it even at the beginning. Thank you Costa Mesa High School, I'll never forget you. ,mv y .... . - V 5 Yi ,, J. ,,,..1w-55' ...n-'Wg Karin Haymer l, Jody Anderson and Aliece Pickett collect money for the poor. 2. 200 ACTIVITIES Last Year For Club Memorable And Worthwhile Once a week, in room 207, a group of students met with Mrs. Ruth Gottuso and Mr. Doug Brown to share their ideas. The name of the group is The Sunshine Club, or Bible Club. The goal of the club is to help those involved to become better individuals in serving God, their school, their community and each other. The club brought students together regardless of age, race or religion to discuss spiritual philosophies and concepts in order to reach their goal. The Sunshine Club suffered a great blow this year because of a law suit filed against Huntington Beach Unified High School District. In the outcome of the case, it was established that the first amendment of the Constitution canit permit them to meet . . . the club will be missed. I. Ros Pellieotti listens attentively. 2. It's been a long day, says Mrs. Guttoso, 3. Renee joins the discussion along with Mr. Brown.
