Sandy Badog Kathy I-Iill5 Allison Hestg Pat Tunde. Every girl at Costa Mesa High is a member of the Girls' League. The board members are elected in the spring for the following year. In the fall atea was held to Welcome the in-coming Freshman girls. This year the Girls' League 's annual Christmas for- mal, a girl-ask-boy dance, was entitled Grystal Mist . The tickets were completely sold out and it was one of the biggest occasions of the year. The proceeds of the dance were given in the form of scholarships to Senior girls . They also hosted a conference for all the Girls' League officers in the county. ia.

STUDENT COURT One of the most responsible groups at C. M. H. S. was the Student Court. Their main job was to enforce the Student Code of Conduct, a set of ethical standards which all students are expected to observe in order to improve the school. The Student Court judge, Tom Read, was elected by the Student Body in the Spring. His job was to preside over the court While listening to cases. The members were selected on the basis of their grades and school participation. The court listened to cases and decided punishment in an effort to put some of the responsibility for discipline in the hands of the students . Student Control is a branchof Student Service and Nancy Gillmore is the chairman.
