A.S.B. PRESIDENT The 1964-1965 A. S. B. Presi- dent, Ted Bandaruk, was known to the students of Mesa High for his friendliness and schoolspirit As Student Body President he had many duties. Each morning he lead the entire school in the flag salute and many times gave the first period announcements. His mos t important job was being head of Student Council, which controls nearly all student acti- vities and works with the admin- istration. During the past four years, Ted participated in many eXtra-cur- ricular activities. In his Fresh- man year, Ted went out for jun- ior Varsity baseball, but as Ted put it, I was number nineteen and there were only eighteen uni- forms. As a sophomore he played Bee football and was on thejunior Varsity wrestling team . A s junio r Class President of 1963-1964 he initiated many new ideas. Under his direction the junior Class of that year organ- ized and held the first Marty's Corral and the first Powder Puff football game. Also during his junior year Ted played Bee football. In his Senior year he played o n the defensive black team of the Varsity football squad . Following graduation, Ted plans to attend California Western University at La Jolla. After two years at Cal Western he plans to transfer to either a Dental or Veterinary School. TED BANDARUK

CABINET The A.S.B. Cabinet was not a part of student government in itself but its members held various positions within the struc- ture of our student government. They were elected along with the A.S.B. President in the spring elections. The Vice- President presided over the Student Council in the absence of the President and was the President of Student Congress. The Secretary took minutes at Council meetings and conducted all correspondence. The Treasurer kept all records of finan- cial matters. The Student Court judge presided over the Student Court and was in charge of Student Control. The California Association of Student Councils Representative fC.A.S.C .1 attended meetings with all high school councils of Orange COUHW and was a member of the Student Council.
