SWIMMING The G.A.A. swim team was composed of ex- cellent swimmers, many of whom had competed in meets prior to this season. They worked very hard to prepare themselves for the many meets they participated in. They did this by holding long practices twice a week which, along with their school spirit, contributed to their great success at meets with other schools in the county. The swim team defeated both Westminister and Laguna and also took part in the Fullerton Relays. Those girls deserving special recognition are Lee Saulnier for the most valuable, Marsha Yeager for most im- proved, and for the most valu able diver, Rose Means. well as their sportsmanship. Those girls deserving special acknowledgement were jan Kent, best singles player, and jackie M i lle r and P a t Noggle, t op double s team. Mesa is proud of the fine job this team has done during the past season. flfdiiigil?2sfSiaiiS.fhQfiZ5f ksi, 3sEi3fig?Hfifik'it'a !.1lAl4 ,ff iYi'i53?iiLf2seEiNiLitYfiQ2 ,, ROW 1: C. Walters, M.
