VA RSITT COACH PA RS ONS The 1965 Mustang Varsity came into the season with a good team but with little experience. They had at this time beaten Huntington and Bolsa Grande. The team had a few returners. Mike White, last year's leading hitter, looks destined for all league honors by his per- formance thus far. john Clay and Mike Madrid were two starting pitchers returning from last year. The outfield is dotted with returners such as Dennis Leyerly, Rick Oliver, and Randy Wilson. This team should go far this year with the talent it has shown. They fin- ished second in the Orange Coast tennis tournament, with Dan Robinson and Bill Cline taking the honors. They have already taken a few league Wins and have beaten the best of the out- side competitors.
