These girls participated in working situations at various businesses throughout the Costa Mesa-Newport Beach area . The girls went to theirjobs once a week on Thursday, leaving after fourth period. MEDICAL CAREERS Among the manyworthwhile projects ofthe Medical Careers Club was their annual Christmas project in which they helped to make a joyous holiday sea- son for aneedy family in our area. Another impor- tant goal of the club was to award a scholarship to a student entering the field of medicine. The club stressed the development of initiative and leadership, pro- vided experience in living and working together, served the school and the community, and planned to prepare its members for their roles as useful citizens .
