H. Presiaeul MARY LOU M TEUTSC CALK TO Secretary INS, , . 'd ni W Vice Presl 9 MAY WTLSTER T DO NS READ' 'eq-Sure, Super Seniors! This impressive title belongs to this year's graduating class and it didn't take them long to prove that it was rightly so. Starting out the year with a bang by winning the student body ticket race and the prize of a half-day holiday to attend a movie, the class sailed through the entire year. Headed for Eden, which they presented the first half of the year, landed six of its cast in Thalian dramatic society. In sports, as well as in almost all other school activities, the senior class provided leadership. Various victory campaigns such as the tin can drive, were spurred on by the Super Seniors. Throwing a little light on the deep, dark past, we find the seniors, that is most of them, entering CHS three years ago as meek and mild sophomores. That year the class had two parties-a barn dance and a combination game and dance party. ln sports Allen Anderson and lack Sprick distin- guished themselves by earning football letters. Allen also won a varsity basketball award. Virginia Burt and Pauline Moore were the first sophomores ever to be admitted into Torch National Honor Society. Sophomore officers were Iack Sprick, president, lim Fernan, vice president, Wauneta Lay- man, secretary, and Allen Anderson, treasurer. As livin' Iuniors, the class was nosed out of the winning spot in the student body ticket race by the narrowest margin in history-only a fraction of one per cent. As the money-making class, the junior sales committee under the chairmanship of Rae Ardis De Moss, sold more hot dogs, candy and other rooter refreshers than any of their predecessors. Several students were admitted to vari- ous honor and service clubs of the school. A winter party, the theme of which was Snowed lnn, was held. In a dramatic way, the class starred in the comedy, Ever Since Eve. Pat Metcalf and Frank Cole eamed membership in Thalian from their leads in the all-school play. Class officers were Earl Greig, president, Pat Metcalf, vice president, Georgene Frink, secretary, and Pauline Moore, treasurer.
