Those first days were filled with Ili Ya Pal, hayen't seen you all summer . . . daled expressions in choos- ing classes . . . buying student hotly tielsets and accumulating, acquiring, and feeling that old school spirit again. INS ANU OUTS ol' those registration days saw us sometimes in and sometimes out of the inner sanetumu of l'rincipal Moore's office. It was here that twisted schedules and confused minds were straight ened out Qfor a while anywayl. A hit ol' all right was the way Mary l,ou XVhite lsept tal! on office worls and acted as general helper outer to everyone through out the year. To STARVI' :X Xvllllf-fXXV.'Xlsl'i and actiye social year and malse welcome the sophomores was the special purpose ol the sophomore reeeption. This is the scene where we conserved paper and pencils, avoided eye strain . . . hut according to Nlrs. .lacohs were mighty extrayaeant with our tongues!

C1:XNllf i5YlfR-l5ANCllf l5l'ifilNS . .. and so it was after most ol' the foothall games . . . everyone made trael-ts to the cafeteria where hep-eats gathered as sweet swing .mtl hoogie woogie filled the air. ln this place of frolie and fun sophomores and juniors held elass parties. This is an illustration of the sophomore party where Old Nlel9onald's l'arm was transplanted . . . eould he the pigs and es en some wolses got inf 'l'lMlf-OUl'4l5l..'XC1K-UU'l' . . . who doesn't rememher this? During the rally danee. shin-eraelting was stopped when hlaelt-out warning eame shrieking through the air. . . lights out, ears stopped . . .and sour imagination will tell you what this hlaelt-out picture might have heenfeould Inst- heen--and was! NlOlilf l'L'N . . . howlegged tires, an cngine that sounds like .i meat grinder. a horn that hates to hear itself, and a dream in teehnieolor was Portei s red engine, Mant' more like it whislted lsids to haskethall and foothall games, whipped them to rallys and to eolse hang-outs . . . going to the tourney in Salem, they all formed a string that would have made a eonga-line loolt siels . . , parlsing plaees around school were oeeupied with things that would have filled a museum with rare antiques. f -.- A 1 0: i 0
