7, I Nyberg Hyslop Devaney Shupe SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Spending two successful years at Corvallis High, the senior class has entered the last lap in their high school education. Approximately two hundred seniors are graduating, 65 per cent of which will seek guidance at Oregon State. Led by Bill Teutsch, president, the green quick to take an active part in CHS activities. Other Nyberg, vice- president, Glen Warren, secretary, Entering their junior year as affairs, athletics, dramatic productions, and the tradition of being the most active class in Has Been Arrang- ed, was successfully Thalian. Twenty stu- dents-one of the largest class-were initiated into Torch. A sucqgfgil junior the end of the year. Officers of the class were Mardisiillfielmon t- Mabel Cator, sec- retary, and Constance Shupe, Fulfilling all positions, memberships, and honors expected of them, members of the senior class this year proved themselves to be outstanding. Besides the numerous students again honored by all activities, the class became leaders in all departments. The class play was Three-Cornered Moon. Other activities sponsored by the class of '40 included a rally dance and a party at the end of the year. Miss Horner and Miss jelinek were class advisers.
