Barry, Mrs VerNooy, Mr. Vico, Miss Smith, Dr. Higgins. If I were to visit Cortland High School as a stranger there are many things I would hope to find. I should want to see a modern well-equipped building and one that was well kept and attractive. I should look for a school, stalfeglxtwith teachers who were well-trained, pleasant and ever-alert to the many changing prob- lems confronting the young people of to- day. I should look for a student body that was composed of eager, courteous, hard-working boys and girls who knew that the best educational equipment in the world is none too good for the life that lies ahead of them. I should also look for an administration with a genuine under- standing of people and their problems. As one who has visited Cortland High School, I believe a stranger would find, in the largest possible measure, all of these thingsg and all of this set in one of the Stateis Hnest communities dedicated to giving its youth nothing but the best.
