Girl Cagers Gain Second Year Of Experience The girls' basketball team was a pleasure to work with, remarked varsity coach, Mr. Dick Elliott. Al- though the team was relatively inexperienced, they had a great deal of ability and were a hardworking team. Captains were chosen individually for each game in order to give the girls a chance to share the responsibility. Mr. Fred Longhart served as coach for the junior varsity team this year. Coronado's Charlie Brightens Coronado's 1976-77 Charlie Cougar was por- trayed by junior Michelle Moulton. Michelle per- formed regularly at pep rallies and basketball half- times. During one of the halftimes, she performed a special holiday routine in which she threw candy canes into the audience. Michelle's support at sports activities and her enthusiasm gave a lift to the Char- lie tradition. Michelle Moulton, alias Charlie Cougar. Songleaders take Charlie Cougar for a flying leap.
