Basketball Shows Winning Potential .L Mickey McGrath anticipates a free throw. This year's J.V. Basketball team showed the potential of fu- ture Cougar winners. The team was coached by Mr. Steve Pose- gate and assisting him was Mr. Jim Asher. They were a hard- working team with many good players even though they did not have many wins. According to head coach Mr. Posegate, '5The players were good and showed much potential even though their record was not that good. The highlight of the season was the team's first game of the year when they beat the Wheatridge Farmers, who had a record of 142 straight wins. The team lost many good play- ers to the Varsity squad, but Coach Posegate feels that helping to build the Varsity team is the main purpose of the J.V. squad.
