Steve Hye headed pep assemblies this year. The assemblies were highlighted by cheers and skits put together by members of the morale committee, which included song and yell leaders and various other Cou- gars. Class competition, involving tricycle races, eat- ing chocolate-syrup dipped donuts, and undressing in sleeping bags, was both exciting and entertaining. Speeches were made by athletic captains and awards, such as the Spirit Stick, were presented by song and yell leaders. Pep Assemblies helped to keep the Cou- gar Spirit alive.
