OO Forensics is the art of speaking competitively on a state-wide lev- el in the areas of drama, humor, original oratory, poetry, and de- bate. Led by a new coach, Ms. Susan Vorenberg, the Forensics Team participated in 15 tournaments and consistently ranked superior. The outstanding ability of the Coronado Forensics Team en- abled them to appear on selected television programs and as guest speakers at major conventions. The large amount of time, hard work, and dedication required of each member was rewarded through learning a useful skill and through feelings of high self- accomplishment, stated Ms. Vorenberg. Yearbook Staff Makes Good Timesw Happen The Recuerdos staff chose the theme Good Times for the l976-77 year- book. Co-editors Shelley Howells and LeRae Wagner decided to use student poetry related to the theme in the opening section. This year's staff was happy to offer for the first time a sup- plement including coverage of all spring sports, prom, and graduation activities. Coronado once again hosted the an- nual yearbook clinic, which was at- tended by more than nineteen schools. Advisors this year were Mrs. Kathy Mathers and Mrs. Linda Kroll. The American Yearbook representative was Mr. Bill Holstein and the official school photographer was Whits Stu- dio.
