Elf? ,n................. Student Congress and C. S. F. Student Congress originated out of the need for true communication between the students and student government leaders. This was the first year for the new system of representation. Ten members of each class were elected, respectively, from their classes by the students. Because of student congress it is now possible for the students to hear all about those executive council meetings. California Scholarship Federation is a statewide scholastic society. Members must earn ten points each semester with the grade value of A and B varying with the sub- ject. Those students achieving membership four out of the six semesters become life members and are recognized as Sealbearers on their diplomas at graduation. 89

This year is already the greatest in my life, and just through this experience I have learned to understand and to appreciate all of you. When I first arrived I thought I was going to have a very hard year, but you have helped me to feel like one of you. My family is very nice and they tried to make me as happy as possible .
