The AUDIO-VISUAL Department is run by the studenm themselves Students learn to use, construct and maintain many kinds of audio- visual and television equipment. It has been a great help as a teach- ing and instructing aid. In addition to this an instructional television facility is operated by the students. GRAPHIC ARTS flndustrial Arts, depart ment, teaches the techniques of printing, and relating processes, including type setting, layout and design, presswork, block print- ing, and sil.k screening. Q' This year graphic arts has helped the school considerably by print- ing dance tickets, publicity posters and programs for drama and music productions. Students also make-up personalized cards and T-shirts. l I WOODSHOP Qlndustrial Artsj at Corona develops craftsmanship by working with wood, machines and hand tools. Simple pro- jects made at the beginning of the first graduate, as craftsman- ship improves, to such things as machines stereo-cabinets, bookcases and furniture. now M N BUSINESS DEPARTMENT, is devoted to the vocation al skills so important in the business world such as shorthand, typing, book- keepping and business law Students acquire a skill in implements of business as Well as the understanding of the importance of busi- ness in our economy. 9. Rockets have been seen flying high over Corona as ASTRONAUTIC stu- dents of the Industrial Arts Dept. Study the space sciences includ- ing rocket vehicles, satellites and bioas- troutics. There is a strong emphasis on the individual research projects. In ELECTRONICS, part of the Industrial Arts depart- ment, students familiarize themselves with the basic principals of electricity. As ad- vancement in skills occur students can tailor coats, plan complete dinners, create original de- signs or learn about the responsibilities of a successful mar- riage and childcare.
