PERCY VINES 2 Mr. Percy Vines will always be remembered by the class and faculty of 1966 for his fine work in the teaching profession, second only to his tremendous accomplishments as our coach. Through the years this heartwarming gentleman has produced an image in basketball that has brought great honor to Comer High School. His coaching ability has not been limited only to basketball but has proven valuable also in the fields of baseball and football. His love and respect for his students has spurred initiative and spumed discipline. With deep appreciation, we dedicate this ’66 YELLOW JACKET to Mr. Percy Vines. We, the Annual Staff of 1966, have worked with the intention of composing an annual which will have a very special meaning to each student of Corner High School. The staff and sponsor, Mrs. Cupps, hope that this “Yellow Jacket will make the memories of this past year even warmer in your heart. We have worked as a group to construct a yearbook that each of you will enjoy as you look back through these memorable pages. The Yellow Jacket is presented with the hope of giving you a yearbook that you will treasure forever. Editor. Anita Rickels Co-Editor, Juanita Owen ADMINISTRATION H. J. Heinz once said. The secret of success--Do the common thing uncommonly well. I extend to the graduating class of 1966 my sincere appreciation for the many nice things you have done to improve your school. By living with encouragement, we learn to be confident. Keep your ears tuned to love. hope, and courage; and you will certainly live in harmony and sympathy with others. God Bless You MRS. FULMER.
