Girls' league The Girls' League, which is composed of all the girls in the school, enjoyed a very busy year. The girls in each class were responsible for a money-making project in the fall. These projects, plus do-nut sales, helped earn the needed money to finance the successful spring formal, Wonderland By Nights. A harvest dance, Twirp Week, Girl of the Month awards, and a combined Miss Merry Christmas dance and Toy Drive for the Fairview Home were also sponsored by the Girls' League. Installation of new officers took place at the Mothers' Tea and Style Show, May 17. Among these achievements were several money-making projects and a trip to La Grande for the annual Oregon State FTA Convention. To attain some teaching experience, the members of the FTA also had a Student Teaching Day which permitted the Future Teachers to take over the regular instructors' duties.
