MISS MERRY PAGEANTRY Stammering basketball captain, Bob Ellis, plays the part of Santa as he pre- sents Miss Merry Christmas , Claudia Urbach, with a gift. Highlighting the Christmas activities for 1961 was the Miss Merry Christmas pageant. One princess was chosen from each class to compete for the Miss Merry Christmas title. A method was evolved where a toy meant a vote when given to one of the four girls. The girl receiving the most toys became The Miss . Collected toys were distributed to the Fairview Home for children in Salem. Runner-up candidates for the Miss Merry Christmas title Qrightj are Louise Haley, Sen- iorg Carol Mershon, J uniorg and Sandra Woodard, Freshman.
