Girls' league The Girls' League, which is composed of all the girls in the school, enjoyed a very busy year. The girls in each class were responsible for a money-making project in the fall. These projects, plus do-nut sales, helped earn the needed money to finance the successful spring formal, Wonderland By Nights. A harvest dance, Twirp Week, Girl of the Month awards, and a combined Miss Merry Christmas dance and Toy Drive for the Fairview Home were also sponsored by the Girls' League. Installation of new officers took place at the Mothers' Tea and Style Show, May 17. Many highlights throughout the school year made the efforts of the FTA successful. Among these achievements were several money-making projects and a trip to La Grande for the annual Oregon State FTA Convention. To attain some teaching experience, the members of the FTA also had a Student Teaching Day which permitted the Future Teachers to take over the regular instructors' duties. This plan was not only worthwhile but also very enjoyable. This page is sponsored by: FANCHER'S AUTO PARTS FLOWERS BY MALCOMS E. Powell Blvd. MO 5--8118 221 E .Powell Blvd. MO 5-5212 Gresham, Oregon
