This made matters worse and F-exvickley piled up the score This was our last game and not a very good ending for the season, BASKETBALL The basketball team is sure to be better next year than this year. There will be five or six lettermen back this coming season and that's only the half of it: these fellows, with the exception of one. are all sophomores. So the opponents of old Cory High had better xvateh out because Cory is going tu come to the top. They did better this season than last: however, they should have done still better, but it's the same old story. Lack nf scoring poyverf! Our First Victory Our fellows defeated the smooth working team of Avalon at Avalon by the score of 18 tn l-l. Neither team showed much superiority' over the other. teory-Devenzio, l-Iorovitch, Yincent, Ridge, Critchlow, .-Xvalon-Kenster, Simpson, Dobler, Stedeford, Ferguson. Substitutes: Corv-Normile for Borovitch, Skala for Ridge. Avalon- Sheplan for Kenster, tiaus for Ferguson. Alumni Wins The younger felloxvs of our district were beaten in a very close game tu the tune of 20 tu 17. The Alumni proved too much for the team representing the High School. Each group used tyvo entire teams. Avalon Again the Losers Avalon again yvas the meat for our fairly fast basketball aggregation which defeated them a second time by four points, the score being 22 to 18. The lineup is nearly the same as the other, so you may see it above. A Sort of Change Crafton sort uf vvalloped us by the looks of the score: 47 to 7 is the yvay the game wound up.
