Foreword Twenty-five years ago last fall Copiah-Lincoln A. H. S. expanded to include two years of high- er learning and became Copiah-Lincoln Junior College and Agricultural High School. The follow- ing spring, Volume V of the Co-Lin Annual listed fewer than four hundred students enrolled and twenty-five staff members. The school plant with its five buildings was valued at S250,000. To- day the school's property, which includes seventeen buildings, is valued to S2,000,000, and the normal enrollment is approximately six hundred. Year by year, except when war interfered, th e Annual, later christened The Trillium, has faith- fully recorded the growth of which we are justly proud, the development of a varied program of activities and the maintenance of high scholastic standards. But it has attempted to reflect, too, that in which Co-Lin takes its major objective, the development of fine character in the individual and of wholesome group spirit in the student body as a whole. lt is the intent of this Silver Anniversary volume to point with tenderness and gratitude to- ward the Beginnings and the Beginners, and to present the story of Copiah-Lincoln's many tri umphs as a challenge to all of us to make ours a still greater school. The Trillium Staff
