reflections nf a snnhumnre Our sophomore year in college is almost ended, and as we lookback on this lastyear at Co-Lin, memories, some funny, and some touching, come rushing back to US. We remember the flock of awkward frightened freshmen that first week at school, as we had been the year before--the bedlam of registering and arranging schedules--the first glimpse of the new library fthe only cool spot on the campusj and the frm of seeing all our old friends and teachers again, The freshmen felt more at home after the rollicking SCA party that first Thursday night. Then came the church parties, and we were so pleased to introduce the frosh to the wonderful members of our local churches, Meaningful all the year were the student vespers, and all of the SCA programs on brotherhood, Bible reading, Thanksgiving, and Easter, The spiritual highlight of our sophomore year was, of course, Dr, Mille.r's inspiring talks during Religious Emphasis Week. We suppose Homecoming was the most glorious time of the year, with Aimee as our beautiful queen. The campus was arrayed with clever displays, and the sophomores were so right when they pre- dicted that we'd wring the Trojans out and hang 'em on the line. The Glee Club's Christmas Pageant was a never-to-be-forgotten event of our sophomore year. Beautiful carols and magnificent tableaux revived the Christmas Story. And the operetta--an evening of gaiety and pure enjoyment. We can still hear Barbara singing, I'm called little Buttercup, poor little Buttercup. As we grow older. SI. Valentine's Day will always remind us of coronation at Co-Lin. Rustling evening dresses, boys suddenly polite and attentive, the revolving valentine, the reception to the lobby were all a part of the ceremony, We surely cou1dn't end without including in our memories some of the band trips. We traveled to so many exciting places--Florida, Mobile, New Orleans-- that our motto soon became, Join the band and see the world, This was our sophomore year--the year we had longed for, and it lived up to all our expectations.
