Tied up at 2-2 until the last period, the Wolves got rolling to pound over twice and end the game I4-2. Cober Mann Crawford H utto CO-Ll N-O PERK-l 9 Homecoming Another heartbreaker - the conference- leading Perkinston Bulldogs came to Co-Lin along with a large group of returning alumni, to defeat the Wolves by a l9-O count. ln one sense, it was a victory for the Wolves who fought without stopping in one of the hardest grid struggles of the year. 56 Q, Hillman 40 CO-LIN-19 POPLARVILLE--26 Scuttled - - After a week of rest to- recuperate from the battering results of the Monroe game, the Wolves seemed to be in good shape for the game with Poplarville. It was a heartbreaker, however, as Co-Lin got rolling too late and lost the game by a single touchdown. The Wolves never stopped worrying the Poplarville eleven from the first as Henry Simonton raced the length of the field to score on the kick-off. - Britt CO-LIN 7 DECATUR 23 Defeat The Warriors from Decatur, one of the strongest teams in the conference, rolled into Wesson and it was Co-Lin's night to taste defeat again. Outclassed, the Wolves scored only once when Simonton caught a pass and raced 30 yards to score. Bowman Bishop Simonton Brewer Peets Blackstock CO-LIN O ELLISVILLE 7 Comeback Pulling a switcheroo, the Wolves took the field with a fast-moving T forma- tion offense which almost proved too much for the Bobcats. A blocked punt covered behind the goal line accounted for the only score of the game in which Co-Lin made I9 first downs to the winner's 8. Allen -r ,af vb? xv ' Rf swfliv G,-,fx x . It was a fitting finale for a season which the scores did not suitably describe and the highlight was Gober's 82-yard scoring jaunt.
