JAMES M. EWING O The Sophomores of l94l leave Copiah- Lincoln in what promises to be the most critical period in the world's history. Likewise the year will be critical in the life of each graduate. Your participation in the community life of Co-Lin has been your greatest contribution. You can pro- mote the great American way of life only if you contribute an honest, sincere, and intelligent participation in commu- nity and governmental affairs. If democracy is worth dying for, it is likewise worth living for. The greatest menace to democracy is the danger of members of society mistaking liberty for license . May I challenge you to a carefully planned life of service with faith in your fellow man, and most of all, faith in God. Very sincerely, IIIIISIIIS w. s. HENLEY, Pres. R. E. REA, secy. R. c.
