ATHENA AWARD The Athena Award, given to the outstanding female athlete in school, was bestowed upon Kate Poplin for the 1979-80 school year. Kate was a strong performer and Ietterwinner in such sports as tennis, basketball, and soccer. ln basketball and tennis she carried herself honorably into post-season and state competition numerable times. tKate placed 2nd and 4th in State Tournament play in tennislt Besides her physical prowess, Kate's personality is just super, her scholastic achievements are superior, and she also participates in other activities such as T.A.Fl.S. A better choice would have been hard to find.

The play was a one performance sel- lout.
