PROM 1980 Long flowing gowns in a myriad of colors along with fashionably styled tuxedos adorned the people at the 1980 Prom. After Prime Rib, Lobster, and Duck at places such as ' Forepaughs, Jacks, The Orion Room, and Lord Fletchers, everyone gathered at the Coffman Union on the Campus of the U of M for dancing and socializing. The theme for Prom was We May Never Pass This Way Again and the colors were peach and rust. This year a more traditional band supplied the music for the evening, and it was enjoyed by all. Not lacking for imagination, and wanting to extend the night, many people saw tit to try at bowling when they left the dance. After bowling the rising sun was seen by many as they struggled home to get ready for a day at Taylors Falls.

This years French production was Pinocchio , and any block-head could see it was great fun. All of the French students were involved with the play in one way or another. Originally the script was written under the influence of a variety of ideas created by individuals in the French 5 class. These ideas were combined into an original, smooth flowing script. Then practice and production went into full swing until the end results were seen on March 20 and 21. Anne Collins, the director and French teacher, felt this was one of the best productions ever and she was very proud of the hard work her students put into it.
