BEST IN STATE The best orators in the state, and the tradition stayed alive with the 1979-80 team. C.Fl.S.H. speech and debate people have been among the strongest in the state, winning the Region Championship for the last fifteen years in a row! As numerous medals were compiled in the Sectio Debate Tournament, and the National Forensec League Tournament a new state record was being set. C.Ft.S.H. orators now hold the state record for most medals won by a school! And while at the state tournament another record was added as six medals fthe Most Ever! were won by our students! Oral communication was important to these people and these people made oral communication important to C.R.S.H. A CHRISTMAS CAROL ln a time of year when the spirit of giving pervades everyone, the cast and crew of Christmas Carol gave their all . And their all proved to be memorable, and one of the highlights of Winter at CRSI-l. Practice and production ran long each night in preparation for the opening, and director Karla Karantz felt it was all worth while. lt was a timely play for the season with a feeling that always will live in the hearts of its audience. Mark Schulte as Scrooge had to be on stage throughout the whole performance, and he performed extraordinarily, Mark Johnson as Fred captured everyone hearts with his speech about Christmas, and Lisa Ftykken, Kathy Wernecke, and Jodi Johnson also gave outstanding performances. All in All, the cast and crew worked like a family to give one of the best plays ever presented at Coon Rapids Sr. High! Main Cast Of Characters Scrooge ..........
