CREST, Coon Rapids Efficient Sec- retaries of Tomorrow, has students working in all parts of the communi- ty in business-related jobs. Students are employed in hospitals, city halls, community schools, real estate of- fices, and various other places . A state convention was held in Min- neapolis with office skills comple- tion. The national convention was also held in Minneapolis. In order to make money to go to these conven- tions, CREST sold magazines, can- dles, and candy. The Pumpkin Bowl was a football game many people will never forget. The gigantic trophy displayed in the trophy case stands out among all others. The pumpkin in the cen- ter brings back memories of the slogan, Stomp the Pump- kinheads which can be heard whenever Coon Rapids and Anoka meet in athletic competition. Our lettermen are dedicated to the sports they participate and receive recog nition in. Coon Rapids is the 1973-74 owner of the Pumpkin Bowl Trophy LETTERMEN- Front Row Dennis Shafer, Kevin Haeg, Dave Bednarczyk, Stew Howard, Russ Brown, Roger Moberg, Jamie Wright, Doug Hazewin- kel Row 2 Steve Vadnais, Greg Elright, Dave McMullun, Brian Johnson, Jeff Compton, Steve Brislin, Kent Mertes, Mark Coumeya, Jeff Blair, Mike Neiderer. Row 3: Mark Mitchell, Tom Ocel, Rich Pagel, Steve Narog, Jeff Kline, Jerry WUliams, Rich Thomas, Ken Roath, Damam Widman. Row 4: Scott Brace. VICA Offers Vocational Job Training VICA: Front Row: Pam Klammer, Sharon Herbes, Norma Simmens, Caryl Delaney, Leila Roth. VICA, the Trade and Industrial Work Program, consists of student- trainees employed in foods, health, trade, and industrial jobs . The club gives the students a chance to get involved in local, state, and national activities. Local activities involve students with the school and with the community. State and national activities involve stu dents in conventions and the election of officers .
