The feelings of the people of Coon Rapids after a 17-14 loss to Rochester John Marshall in the semi-finals of the state play-offs are expressed on the Card Board. - ••• ' A great season that brought Coon Rapids together as a high school and community, was how coach Ron Scott described the 1973 football season. The Coon Rapids Cardinal football team won 10 of 11 games, won the North Suburban conference and won the Twin City Suburban title, both for the first time, and went to state, also for the first time. The attitude on this team has always been excellent, said Scott. They really wanted to play football. A lot of kids could have started to look toward winter sports, but this group was dedicated to football. Scott praised the support the team got from school and the community. It was fantastic, especially in the last three games. Kim Gothier hopes for a touchdown to go ahead of Rochester. rl?rierxi.-ro» sv. ii. i i ' Kr te Or K jt
