Lunch Was Always My Favorite Class It takes two hands to handle the school ' s sloppy joes . Everything tastes better when you wash it down with milk. This year, as in the past, the cooks offer two different lunches for stu- dents. One is the regular lunch listed on the menu and the other is the sal- ad lunch. In the salad line you can choose from a variety of salads in- cluding lettuce, jello, tuna, or fruit salad. The cost of lunches this year rose to forty-five cents. Paul Perez £ind Dianna Dorfner enjoy the leisurely twenty minutes allowed for lunch . OOY -kj (k Jbuim r ' i Q00L d j KjLK r , -g.- Pe-v-e KigP

Phy Ed classes started a new unit this year. Co-education- al dancing was very popular with all the students. When the unit was completed, students wanted to be able to continue dancing. Phy Ed teachers arranged to get the gym and had a sign-up sheet for those interested in a dance after school. Enough students wanted to come so the dance was held from 8:00 until 10:00. Students are hoping other dances will take place during the year. Many students participated in the square dance that was held at night. 5 0UUI. X k p J - yjt UrDU U 4-) ujVuoU j L rbetd k

The feelings of the people of Coon Rapids after a 17-14 loss to Rochester John Marshall in the semi-finals of the state play-offs are expressed on the Card Board. - ••• ' A great season that brought Coon Rapids together as a high school and community, was how coach Ron Scott described the 1973 football season. The Coon Rapids Cardinal football team won 10 of 11 games, won the North Suburban conference and won the Twin City Suburban title, both for the first time, and went to state, also for the first time. The attitude on this team has always been excellent, said Scott. They really wanted to play football. A lot of kids could have started to look toward winter sports, but this group was dedicated to football. Scott praised the support the team got from school and the community. It was fantastic, especially in the last three games. Kim Gothier hopes for a touchdown to go ahead of Rochester. rl?rierxi.-ro» sv. ii. i i ' Kr te Or K jt
