Those who continue with Latin obtain a broader outlook of Roman life through the study of Caesar's works. Speech class deals pri- marily with public speaking and the techniques of being a successful speaker. Some of the qualities of good speaking --expression, good grooming, poise, and true appreciation of drama--are studied, dis- cussed, and practiced.
