After much study fl-Ia!l and enthusiasm the band of eager beavers took to the road again, following the compass backin the direction of Hot Springs, where everyone bathed in the famous Evans Plunge. Finally dragging th e i r d rip p i n g bodies out, their attention centered on their stomaches and most of the food disappeared. A tired half hysterical group of Senior's left Hot Springs that night and headed for good old D. H. S. and most of all -- home. N , x Q N gg- fri I '49

in , 1: 'wfi' 'diff' , I l SENIOR At the unheard of hour of 4 A. M., one balmy day in May, the 1953 Senior Class cruised out of town for the annual Senior Day. They headed in the general direction of the Black Hills, including all points in and around. Arriving in the wee hours of the morning at I-Iot Springs, they proceeded to fill or stuff until they could wind themselves around the many passages of Wind Cave about ten miles away. After all pipes were smoked and the wonders of mother nature devoured, the group proceeded to a small zoo. Many MONKEYS had their pictures taken and when the film ran out, the cars set out to see Mount Rushmore Memorial, or The Faces as they are commonly called. N4 'b .I
