' High School W eek at Laramie how satisfying in retrospect for Helen Hylton a Douglas High representative in Reading, was unanimously chosen for highest division, and for the first time Douglas received a beautiful b on H IGH School Week at Laramie! How exciting in prospect, aric .n . . , , . . I . . . I 3 Sc ho I' 3.11 shield, given to the school whose representative places first in Contest. To Helen was given a solid gold medal, in recognition of l ment in scoring highest among some twenty-live contestants. Our plucky debaters, Georgia Hubbell, Junior, and Grace Edwa man, gave. a good account of themselves in their- first debate, wh: feated the Greybull team, and in the second, although the decision in favor of Green River. test, and Earl Johnson, Sophomore, in the Extemporaneous Spe Elizabeth Gibson, another Freshman, represented Douglas in the e A e They both did well, but were not ranked among those who comp final honors. Coach Replogle's team of handsome Bearcats, Captain Slonake did not place in the finals. This team, whose average weight of 1 put them in Class A, met and conquered the strong Worland Five Burns, and Gillette, northern champs, but finally went down to d Hylton, Roush, Harris, Curtin and Reese, made a good showing, tl I T 0 4 at the hands of the Preps and Buffalo.
